Maps and Facilities

The proposed Island Gas Connector Project (IGC Project) is an estimated 129-kilometre (81-mile) natural gas pipeline between Sumas, Washington and Bamberton, near Mill Bay, on the east coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. In addition to the proposed natural gas pipeline, associated facilities would be built including meter stations that measure the natural gas and compressor stations that help move the natural gas along the proposed pipeline.

Engaging the Community

The proposed IGC Project team recognizes the importance of comprehensive dialogue and engagement with Canadian Aboriginal and Native American communities, landowners and stakeholders about all aspects of the proposed IGC Project.
The IGC Project team will provide detailed information about and seek feedback on the proposal as it moves toward public hearings and if successful, into construction.
